Environ™
films are 100% biodegradable
and compostable designed to replace
nondegradable as well as starch and polyethylene-based films.
Unlike starch based films, Environ™
films are heat and water stable and
does not disintegrate or break apart while in use, making Environ™
films
ideally suited for food packaging and composting
programs that involve food and yard waste. Once discarded in soil or
compost facility, Environ™
films will decompose 100% into
carbon dioxide and water within weeks. Environ™
films will not devalue or
contaminate compost as tested under EN 13432, unlike polyethylene
blends.
Environ™ films has no adverse
effects on human health or plant life, as tested under EN 13432,
while offering physical properties superior to typical LDPE
products. Environ™
films are available in a variety of
sizes and forms, allowing Environ™ films to offer an environmentally
friendly alternative for applications ranging from grocery bags to
export shipping Key properties include very
good wrapping, transparency, print adhesion,
good heatseal range and
static-free machinability.
These
films are fully certified to the European (EN 13432)
and American (ASTM D6400) norms for compostable packaging. In
addition Environ™
has been proven to be suitable
for Horticultural Film Applications. |
